Louvre gratings
Elefant® louvre gratings are available in two variants: closed or open front, with both variants available with 4 different angles of the louvre blade.
Louvre gratings - closed front
Louvre gratings consist of vertical bars in the height (bearing bars) and angled horizontal bars at right angles to the vertical bars. For closed front louvre gratings, the next louvre bar starts at the level where the preceding louvre bar ends (see figure). This design ensures that it is not possible to see in between the bars, and it also reduces the amount of driving rain that can get behind the bars. This type is therefore ideal for ventilation shafts, screening etc. Louvre gratings - open front For open front louvre gratings, the next louvre bar starts at the level under the preceding louvre bar (see figure). This design ensures a free view between the bars. This type is therefore ideal if a large airflow through the grating is required whilst offering excellent diffusion properties at the same time.
